We’re in the midst of the “April Showers” season so why not embrace the nickname and share this super cute, rainy New York City engagement session by one of our faves, Braedon Flynn! Julie and Paul live in NYC but are getting married in Southern California in October with the fabulous ladies of Sterling Social producing/designing and Braedon getting some more gorgeous images. If their wedding is anything like her style then we’re definitely in for a treat with this one! Those high heeled Hunter wellies?! And the subtle striped shirt with the pop of orange vest…this girl is right on point! But before we get ahead of ourselves thinking about their wedding, we wanted to hear the story behind how they met (always our fave)!
Julie and Paul met two and a half years ago on the weekend before Labor Day. Julie was visiting a friend of his in Saltaire and they met for the first time at the weekly Sunday poker game. Both were dating other people and nothing but good conversation ensued. A few months later Paul was out with his friends and inquired about Julie. Learning that she was no longer dating anyone, as was he, he asked for her e-mail and reached out both on Facebook and e-mail. Julie was in Detroit on the set of a movie shoot (freezing in sub-arctic temps) and an online friendship ensued. In April of that year, after a few months of back and forth e-mails, they met for drinks in New York and realized they shared similar interests (Shawshank Redemption, In-n-out) and disinterests (scallops). Two weeks later they went on their official first date and as they say the rest was history…
What sweet love story isn’t all about the timing?! So glad for our inspiration sake that these two got together! Thanks again to Be Inspired Network members Sterling Social and Braedon Flynn for sending this our way, we can’t wait to see what you all come up with for the wedding!
