We like to decorate and we like to eat over here at Inspired By This, so the holidays are a great excuse to take a few hours off and enjoy each others’ company and cooking at a holiday luncheon. We thought we would share with you our little office tradition on our lifestyle blog today and hopefully inspire your next holiday party! Did we mention we also enjoy our wine? A little Francis Ford Coppola Votre Santé Pinot Noir complemented our meal perfectly – and added a little color to the table – holiday red of course! These Votre Santé (French for “To Your Health”) wines tend to make an appearance at all our office soirees and always give us reason to toast ;).
If you can’t tell, all white and GOLD decor is a must in our office (and anything with shimmer or sparkle!), hence, the gold sequin place mats, gold pumpkins, and even a gold-antlered ceramic deer. We hung our stockings by the (pretend) fireplace with our favorite little white Christmas tree garland we found at Target (YES!), cute turkey place cards from Tiff Zippy and a silver ornamented wreath. Aside from pine cones, mini trees, and baby deer, our table was covered with a delicious arrangement of Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green bean casserole, creamed corn, and rolls. When we could make room, we switched out the savory with a homemade pumpkin pie -a la mode of course! – and a few cookies too ;). Needless to say our potluck style feast left us feeling full of food, of cheer, and of gratefulness for a wonderful team and hearty meal. We’d like to echo Francis Coppola’s grandmother, Maria Zasa who used to say “A Votre Santé” each time she raised a glass, and cheers “A Votre Santé” to you and yours this holiday season, and hope that you all enjoy your traditions both at home and at the office!
