Meet Leila

As a business school graduate from Santa Clara University, Leila Khalil’s career began in publishing, where she worked in marketing and editorial roles for business and lifestyle publications. In 2004 Leila transitioned into the wedding industry working with some of LA’s most notable wedding planners.

A creative thinker at heart, Leila parlayed her publishing experience into the wedding and special events industry by securing highly coveted media placement for her planner colleagues and advising vendors on how to create establish brands and promote themselves.

Combining her love for weddings and her professional expertise in media and marketing, Leila created Be Inspired® PR in 2007, the first full-service public relations agency dedicated to the wedding and special event industry. Focused, organized and results oriented, Leila works daily to create new avenues to represent and market her wedding industry clients. Whether she is helping them to grow their business from the beginning, or keeping an established name at the top, Leila is passionate about what she does. Her dedication to fulfilling clients’ goals inspires her to dream big and work tirelessly.

Meet Ashley

Born and raised in small town Arizona, Ashley moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue new experiences while working toward her college degree. She attended El Camino College where she served as the President of the student body, started the first-ever Student Ambassador program and was named Student Employee of the Year. It was during her 3 years of working in the college’s PR department that she developed a love for this field. Her supervisors encouraged her to pursue this field, and she did exactly that when she transferred to one of the nation’s top universities – the University of Southern California (go Trojans!).

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism achieving the Dean’s List every semester and completing multiple PR internships.

In January 2010, Ashley joined Be Inspired® as an intern during her final semester at USC. Two weeks before her May graduation Ashley was hired on as a permanent member of the inspiration team. She loves pairing her creativity with strategic thinking in the niche industry of wedding public relations!

Meet Lauren

Lauren grew up in the Bay area and moved down to Southern California to attend Vanguard University where she studied Early Childhood Education. It was during this time Lauren met her future husband Nate, and they were married in 2007. After planning her wedding, Lauren was hooked on all things beautiful, crafty, and creative; needless to say she knew she was meant to work in the wedding industry.

Lauren is currently the blogging coordinator for Be Inspired’s blog, Inspired By This. Her finely tuned eye and natural knack for spotting up and coming wedding trends has enabled Lauren to help fashion the blog into a daily source of wedding inspiration and insight.

Lauren currently lives in Redondo Beach and during winter season is blessed with the opportunity to participate in the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular as a principle performer.
