14 Clean Beauty Products You Should be Using

As an office full of girls, we’re often trading beauty secrets and sharing our new favorite products. So once we started learning about the harsh chemicals found in many of our favorite brands, we decided to start swapping in more natural products into our beauty regimes. Below are the 14 best clean beauty products we’ve come across so far!

1. Piggy Paint Nail Polish

One of the best accessories to a great outfit is a great mani! We love Piggy Paint’s polish and remover. It’s non-toxic, kid friendly and low odor. They have all our favorite colors and the remover contains aloe and vitamin E to help strengthen nails!

2. S. W. Basics Makeup Remover

While we love putting on and wearing makeup, removing it can sometimes be a pain. Our favorite remover to date is this one by S. W. Basics. Their formula contains organic sweet almond oil, organic extra-virgin olive oil and jojoba oil. It’s lightweight and doesn’t burn our eyes (win).

3. W3ll People Foundation and Bronzer

What do you get when a makeup artist, cosmetic dermatologist and tree-hugging entrepreneur team up? One of the beat clean beauty lines – W3ll People. We can’t live without their Bio Bronzer Powder and Narcissist Foundation Stick.

4. Tidings Deoderant

The hardest beauty product to find a clean and effective alternative to has been deodorant. We’ve tried so many different brands and types. You can trust us when we say this is the best one we’ve come across. With all the research out there linking the ingredients of bad deodorants to cancers and diseases, this should be the first beauty product you swap out.

5. Mambino Organics Belly Butter

Mambino Organics has a product for just about any skin condition you may be experiencing – acnes, scars, stretch marks, dry skin, blackheads and so on. Made with at least 70% organic ingredients, their products are designed to heal your skin in the most natural way possible. Even if you’re not pregnant, their belly butter is one of the most skin hydrating products we’ve tried.

6. Yorba Organics Baby Oil

Speaking of moms, if you have concerns over what you’re putting on your baby’s skin, fret no more. Their Baby Oil is great for combatting your little family’s dry skin in the winter. It’s safe enough to use on babies (or add a few drops to their bath) and adults alike.

7. BeautyCounter Hydrating Face Oil

We know what you’re probably thinking, “You want me to put OIL on my face?!” We had a similar reaction when this product was first recommended to us. This face oil contains jasmine oil, which is easily absorbed by the skin, meaning there’s no heavy residue leftover… just the most perfectly moisturized skin.

8. Mūn Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner

After removing our makeup at the end of the long day, a few spritz of this toner is exactly what our skin needs. Rosewater is gentle enough for the most sensitive skin, and it’s designed to help remove dead skin cells. Bonus – the combination of Rose, Jasmine and Daisy means this product is not only soothing, but also smells divine.

9. Odacité Synergie Masque

When our skin needs an extra oomph, we turn to this skin perfecting masque. Made with clay, activated charcoal, enzymes, fruit acid, vitamin C and probiotics, this is the best mask we’ve found to deeply clean, rejuvenate and boost firmness. Pro tip: best when used while watching a romcom and sipping on rosé

10. Cocovít Lip Polish and Lip Balm

Coconut oil has been all the rage in the beauty/personal care world for the past few years, so when we came across Cocovít we knew we had to give it a try. Unlike most mass-produced coconut oil companies, Cocovíit developed and uses a heat-less process which produces a 100% raw coconut oil retaining all the nutrients, enzymes and antioxidants. Their Lip Polish gently simultaneously exfoliates and hydrates your lips. We like to follow it up with their Orange and Basil Lip Balm to nourish and lock in moisture.

11. Qēt Dry Shampoo

Everyday we give thanks to the inventors of dry shampoo.. We’d be lost (read: a little more greasy) without it! However, we’ve learned most of the traditional dry shampoos contain harsh chemicals that strip your hair of its natural oils. Naturally occurring oils can be a pain sometimes, but nonetheless they exist for a reason so we started looking for a cleaner version. Qēt’s Lavender Powder Dry Shampoo soaks up those oils, doesn’t leave any residue and puts us at ease knowing we aren’t carrying around harsh chemicals in between hair washes. The powder isn’t as convenient as the sprays, but it’s a sacrifice we’re willing to make.

12. Real Purity Mascara

Defined lashes, no clumps and safe ingredients is what we found in Real Purity’s Mascara. Traditional mascaras subjects your eyes to harsh chemicals (how many times have you accidentally ended up with mascara in your eye?!), but this natural alternative contains gentle ingredients that won’t irritate your eyes.

13. Mineral Fusion Lipstick

Friday night date nights usually call for a bold lip… enter: Mineral Fushion Lipstick. This product is vegan (whereas many other lipsticks are not… say what?!) and contains no artificial colors, which is important as most of us end up ingesting at least a bit of our lipstick. Our favorite shades include Tempting, Charming and Flashy.

14. T’zikal Deep Moisturizing Conditioning Cream

Between blow outs, curling wands, straighteners and highlights, our hair is in need of regular deep conditioning. We came across T’zikal, which uses Ojon oil (a tree nut found in Central American rain forests) which is especially effective at combatting damaged, dry and flyaway hairs. Check, check and check.
