Peach & Pink Baby Shower at a Brick Loft

This mama to be, not only threw but also designed and styled her baby shower for her second baby girl on the way. Her family business, Two Lemons in Love, specializes in florals and events, making the party planning process a cinch! The posh peach and pink baby shower couldn’t be prettier either. Every detail was thoughtful and intentional, from ‘blessing beads’ to ‘thank you’ flower bouquets. We know you will love everything about this girly shower, from every cute activity down to the rose topped cake!

Chelsi, the expecting mama, says…

My mom and I started styling a floral design company a few years ago with hopes that my first daughter would grow up to learn that dreams can come true if you work hard enough to see them through. Then, to our surprise I found out I would be having a second girl to raise and do events with so, my husband and I knew there was no better way to shower her with love than with a sweet styled party put on by our family run company.

We had only our closest friends and family come to help feather the nest for our sweet baby Baylie Mae. We spent time enjoying food prepared by a local food blogger Marian Mitchell, who happens to be one of my best friends, and eating the most delicious chocolate cake and donuts. From the Native American tradition of a “blessing way” we established blessing beads for each person to give for me to use during labor and postpartum. We also handed out candles for everyone to take home and light when I went in to labor as a way of sending their love from afar.

The charming Boston on Brix room at SoHo63 made for the most perfect uptown backdrop for our celebration with white walls, brick details, and posh lounge areas. Adding in the soft pinks, creams, and peach as well as fresh flowers, made it feel exactly how we had hoped for the baby girl. My husband and I really wanted to make sure that our love for each other was documented this day so we could always remember the excitement we had so we opted for a short and sweet maternity shoot.

One of the favorite parts of our celebration was the soft lit back drop draped with a greenery swag for picture taking. The moments I was able to have there with our little girl and my sweet baby bump are precious memories we will be able to cherish forever. Nothing says sweetness like a bundle of flowers so we made sure each guest got to pick out some of their favorite blooms to take home as a thank you for the love and gifts they brought to us that day.
