We’ve been lucky to share some pretty creative baby showers recently – and this one keeps in step with the best of them! The colorful Dr. Seuss inspired baby shower is themed after the ever popular books Oh The Places You’ll Go and The Lorax. Merilee at Ever After Events incorporated plenty of fun details from the books like balloons as centerpieces, road markers, Truffula trees, and a pastel rainbow color palette. Here, she shows us how it all came together – and it’s a scene Dr. Seuss himself would be proud of!
We threw this Dr. Seuss, The Lorax themed baby shower for Leila at the La Jolla Women’s Club. Guests were greeted by a custom entrance of “Oh the places she’ll go” walk lined with hand made Truffula trees. They then enjoyed a delicious brunch complete with a mimosa bar and Dr. Seuss inspired beverages.
We created activity tables where guests could visit. They were able to decorate a onesie, create a headband, write a funny saying on a diaper for middle of the night changes, and guess product prices for a “price is right” style game. Lastly, for the mama to-be to take home, everyone signed a Dr. Seuss book as the guest book. One of our favorite details was the “Oh the Places You’ll Go” globe that was hand calligraphed with the birth location of the parents and soon to be baby.
