Woof! Woof! Who said furry friends can’t be part of the fun?! We are obsessed with this puptastic 8th birthday party. The doggy details are something out of any child’s dreams. We can’t even imagine if this had been an option when we were growing up. Don’t mind us grabbing one of the stuffed dogs from the table…Girl’s best friend is looking amazing here.

Every year around the time of our younger daughter’s birthday, the weather starts to get warmer and I know spring is just around the corner. This year, when we were designing her party, we wanted to incorporate elements that signified spring. With spring comes hope and a renewed sense of optimism. We all can use a bit of hope and optimism right now so when choosing the color palette for this party, we wanted something bright, fun, and spring-inspired.
Like everyone else, we also got a dog last year and Mila (the birthday girl) loves him more than life. Benji has been such a ray of sunshine so she chose to dedicate this party to him by having a dog themed party. Replete with an adopt a puppy station, doggy shaped cookie decorating kit, Meri Meri pup candles, and custom dog cookies, the party was nothing short of Paw-tastic.
As the planning continued,
We kept the party super small and outside. Nell from Brute Botanical, created a dramatic flowering plum branch moment on 2 pedestals to frame our main table. For the main centerpiece, she created an arrangement that was fun and whimsical to match our theme. For the cake, Miley from Birdie Bakery worked her magic and created subtle flower designs in buttercream as a nod to the spring florals.
The guests painted on individual canvases as one of their structured activities and at the end of the party everyone got to adopt a *puppy*. Each of the guests got to name their puppy and got a certificate of adoption to take home. Benji of course made a cameo and he was basking in all the attention. All in all, you can say everyone had an un-fur-getable time! 🙂
