The bride, Gretchen describes how the pair fell in love saying, Chris and I met through mutual friends at a bar in Pittsburgh while he was home for Christmas (he was living in Denver for work at the time). Later that night, Mariah Carey’s ‘Always Be My Baby’ came on at the bar & he grabbed my hand to dance while saying ‘Mark my words, we are going to dance to this song at our wedding one day!” I laughed & rolled my eyes at the cheesy pickup line. Chris went back to Denver a few days later, so our relationship was long distance from the very beginning. 10 months and about 100 plane rides later, my job allowed for me to move out to Denver to join him, and the rest is history! (And yes, we absolutely did request our DJ play that song at the wedding! haha)
