For a long distance duo, who reunited in France, a Parisian engagement session was just right! Katie and Pyk are totally in love and adorable as they roam Luxembourg Garden for these pretty photos. We love their pick of location, their style, and their story. Lucky for you, bride-to-be Katie shares a bit more of it below!
Jessica Tucker Photography shares says of this simple and sweet Parisian engagement, Katie and Pyk loved strolling through the Luxembourg gardens, enjoying the people and the gorgeous views of the palace. We finished the sesion by then popping over to a Parisian cafe for a drink.
Here is their love story from Katie, and why she chose the garden for their engagement session.
“Pyk and I met over 5 years ago in New York thanks to a mutual friend. He was there for a year of interning during grad school and I was working as a family photographer for a high end studio uptown. Shortly before he left, we met, and decided quickly to try long distance. For a year and a half I flew to Paris whenever I could and he came to New York. It wasn’t easy to say the least! (Funny thing-you get really good at finding great airfare deals when it’s the only way to see your man!) Finally, when he graduated, we decided that the best next step would be that I move to France, so off to Paris I went! We lived right next to the Luxembourg Garden for the next year. I’d have to say that the Jardin du Luxembourg is really where I fell in love with Paris. I’m still there all the time for family and couples photo sessions. Aside from its obvious beauty, there’s an air of serenity once you enter, even through the squeals of kids playing and people picnicking!”
