We always love all of the outfits you’re posting on Dallas Wardrobe! How would you personally describe your style?
Feminine & classic
Have you always considered yourself that style? What has it evolved from?
I have always had an eye for classic pieces that I know I can wear over and over again. I still have dresses that I wear that are from high school. Also, it helps having a grandmother who has told you your entire life to ‘dress like a lady’ and only get the ‘forever’ pieces.
When and why did you start Dallas Wardrobe?
I started Dallas Wardrobe in August of 2011. I had just gotten married & I wanted to be a full time style consultant (I was doing it part-time). Originally Dallas Wardrobe was a Style Consulting company that had a blog, fast forward almost 3 years and even though I still do style consulting, the blog has just taken over!
What’s your favorite part about having a fashion blog and being considered a “style blogger”?
Getting to be creative daily, having my own (online) space to talk about whatever I want & getting to meet some of the most incredible people ever.
Where do you find inspiration for your style as well as everyday life?
Honestly, my closet. I have been really good over the years at buying pieces that I know I can wear over time. Also, it really helps being from Dallas because there are not a lot of fashion ‘rules’ here. There is no such thing as ‘too over the top’.
When you think of spring fashion, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
Dresses. I love a good dress and after a long (cold) season of wearing tights and a lot of black, spring is the time to bust out all of those pretty dresses that have been sitting in our closets!
What are your favorite fashion trends happening for spring this year?
This spring is all about prints. While I am not the person (right now) who will be wearing print on print I have been incorporating more pants/jackets and blouses and wearing them as separates! I am sure I will be layering on the prints in no time.
Not many of us have the budget to re-work our wardrobe every season…what are a couple of key pieces in your closet that work year round?
White blouse, skinny jeans, navy blazer, ballet flats and a great black dress
Fashion Trend you wish would come back: This is so embarrassing that I am even admitting this but I would love for jellies to come back. I used to wear them all the time to the pool when I was little and I still think they are adorable.
