The beginning of May was full of adventure. I visited some of the most beautiful spots Utah has to offer and met some fantastic photographer friends along the way! I topped off a week of excellent sessions and exciting travel with this bridal shoot at the Bonneville Salt Flats. I’d been looking forward to it the entire trip!
We waded through a few inches of water to get out onto the flats, and I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful it was. Watching the sunset over the distant mountains and how the colors in the sky popped against the pure white of the salt was just magic. After the sun went down, the blue hour was shot through with some fantastic purples.
And, of course, McKenna and Alex were so much fun. They are both transplants to the Salt Lake area from opposite sides of the country and have two Aussies: Pepper and Stormi.
Finally,
McKenna is a model and photographer in the Salt Lake area; it’s always so much fun to get to spend time with other photographers at my sessions! McKenna wore a dress from Daci Gowns; Daci designs one-of-a-kind bridal gowns using silks and lace from all over the world. Against such a wide-open space, McKenna and Alex both were dropping jaws left and right. This bridal look was brought together with a pair of custom earrings from Autumn Fever Designs and this stunning, colorful bouquet from Salt and Sage Brush.
This session proves that you don’t need a ton of extravagant details when you get married.
