We knew we wanted to get married out of the country and by the ocean. I always envisioned a wedding on a cliff with a gorgeous backdrop of the ocean, so when we saw Esperanza we INSTANTLY knew it was going to be where we would get married. It was EXACTLY what I had envisioned!
I wanted our decor to be edgy and industrial but with a romantic twist. I wanted tons of candles and a lot of black. I also love Alice in Wonderland so we incorporated famous quotes from the book for each of our place cards for our guests.
We made our wedding a three-day celebration. Most weddings fly by way too quickly; it’s one of the #1 complaints from brides. We started our wedding weekend with a White Beach Party. The following day we threw a boat party full of boozy popsicles, music, dancing, and water toys. The guests loved the boat day! It was like we had a three-day wedding – it was fantastic! During our reception, my 90-year-old grandma was the life of the party. She doesn’t speak English, but that didn’t stop her from dancing with every single man at the wedding, taken or not! The smile on her face that night was priceless, and we still get comments from guests about how much they loved grandma! The sweetest moment for me though was when Jason surprised me with a brand new wedding ring! My face and reaction were priceless when he pulled out my beautiful new ring because I had NO idea he was doing this. Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more!
