Trader Joe’s Recipes You Can Make With 5 Ingredients

If there is one thing that all this time at home has taught us it’s that time in the kitchen is something to take advantage of. What makes that even better is when a few ingredients make the perfect personal meal. If we hadn’t already made this clear, Trader Joe’s is home to some of our most essential grocery list items. Even when we aren’t fawning over the snack aisles, the fresh produce, cheeses, and breads are calling our names for everyday recipe creation. With ingredients like those, it is no surprise we have found ways to make a full meal with only 5 ingredients. From bringing ricotta cheese into a recipe any way we can to experimenting with cauliflower in rice form, these three recipes have us thinking there’s wayyyy more than five ingredients involved.

Cauliflower Rice Stir Fry

  • Frozen – Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry
  • Coconut aminos
  • Ground Turkey
  • 1 Egg
  • Nori Komi Furikake

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Melt a tablespoon of oil in the pan. Add ground turkey, and preferred seasonings. Break up ground meat with a spoon. Cook until the turkey is almost tender; about 7 minutes. Add in the Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry. Cook for another 2ish minute. Make room in the middle for 1 egg, let it cook for about 3 minutes, and scramble it into the mixture. Top with coconut aminos and furikake!

Honey Pistachio Toast

  • sliced sourdough bread
  • ricotta cheese
  • raw honey
  • salted, roasted, shelled pistachios
  • flakey salt

Toast sourdough bread, and in a bowl mix together 3 tbsp ricotta cheese with 1 tsp honey (can add more to taste if you like it sweeter!). This should have a smooth, whipped consistency when you’re done. Finely crush pistachios, and top sourdough toast with ricotta spread, crushed pistachios, and (if you want!) an extra drizzle of honey. Finish with a sprinkle of flakey salt!

Caprese Flatbread

  • Focaccia Bread
  • Burrata
  • Heirloom Tomatoes
  • Balsamic Glaze
  • Arugula

Place your broiler on high & allow your focaccia bread to toast for 1-2 minutes. Top with your burrata cheese, arugula, and heirloom tomatoes. Then lightly drizzle your balsamic glaze over everything. Finally, top with salt, pepper, or your preferred seasoning for added flavor.
