5 Must Visit Happy Hours in L.A.

Between a 9-5 job (and maybe even a side hustle?), early AM workouts, 405 traffic, and the nonstop on-the-go culture that controls all of us in Los Angeles, we’d say everyone is deserving of a good happy hour…or 3. With our time in LA, we have spent a great length of time (and a lot of dollars) checking out the hotspots in various neighborhoods (from juiceries to donut shops). And so now, we are here to share our top 5 must visit happy hours in L.A. We promise they’ll make your post-work hours a lot, well, happier…

1. Playa Provisions, Playa del Rey

This perfect little nook, steps away from the beach, has incredible deals for anyone in need of an after work wind down! Although this place only reserves Happy Hour for an hour, they’ve got an incredible selection of bites and libations that’ll keep you coming back for more. While you’re there you can’t forget to stop by their culinary store for all things cooking & spirits!

What to get: The Sweet Potato Fritters with Parmesan cheese is enough to keep coming back. PSA to all the whiskey lovers: You have the option of having whiskey in your Moscow Mule instead of vodka.

Happy Hour time: Monday-Friday 5-6pm

2. Lunetta All Day, Santa Monica

Must Visit Happy Hours in L.A.

Not only does this spot have an Instagrammable brunch scene, but their happy hour is one to share with all your friends! For those of you who follow the “Ballin’ on a Budget” mantra, this cozy restaurant in Santa Monica serves 6 dollar draft beers and 6-7 dollar glasses of wine. An extra plus? It’s dog friendly!

What to get: If you love seafood as much as we do, then the Rock Shrimp Ceviche is a must try! As far as cocktails go, when they’re 8 bucks any one of your choosing is the way to go!

Happy Hour time: Monday-Friday: 4-6:30pm

3. The Rockefeller, Manhattan Beach

If you enjoy being in the middle of all the action, then this is the place for you! Right around the corner from the pier, The Rockefeller is the ideal place for nonstop chatter and people watching. Whether you want to sit and watch a sports game, or load up on chips & guac with your colleagues after work, this place is for sure worth all the buzz!

What to get: Their Truffle Mac & Cheese is life-changing, and their $5 deal on beer & wine is an absolute steal! Or go big with a boozy root beer float (um, yes please!).

Happy Hour Time: Monday-Friday: 5-7pm

4. The Venue, Koreatown

Must Visit Happy Hours in L.A.

This swanky bar in the heart of LA is where you come for delicious bites & sips and stay for the karaoke. If you’re looking for a kickstart to the end of your work day, bring your girls here for a night of Instagram story-worthy cocktails and cheesy love songs on full volume!

What to get: For something quick and simple, the shishito peppers are absolutely perfect! Once you’re there, you have to take advantage of the $5 off deal on all cocktails, so our recommendation would be the crisp & tart Serrano y Los Dinos cocktail!

Happy Hour Time: Monday-Thursday: 5:30-7:30pm

5. Toca Madera, Beverly Hills

Must Visit Happy Hours in L.A.

For all of you who can’t get enough of Mexican food, Toca Madera will be your place! We appreciate a restaurant with a great ambiance and have major heart-eyes for the intricate interior design of this modern setting.

What to get: For a classic Mexican snack, the Salsa Flight is a safe & tasty option. Plus, those warm tortilla chips are way too addicting not to order for the table! If you love a drink with a bite, then the Toca Margarita with chili is top-notch!

Happy Hour Time: Wednesday-Friday 5-7pm

We are always on the hunt for best boozy sites, so write your favorite places to kickback and forget about those work e-mails stacking up in your inbox in the comments!
