One Day in Nashville

Nashville has become one of our favorite cities to visit – and for our music-city based editor, Meagan – to live in! She’s already taken us around the favorite local coffee shops, and now she’s condensed the best spots to hit in town, from neighborhoods to explore in and restaurants to eat at, if you only had one day in Nashville.

Morning Breakfast in The Gulch

We like to start our days with a hearty breakfast, and when we’re in Nashville, our first stop is Biscuit Love! All of their food is locally sourced, and we love that they serve Southern dishes with a modern twist. If nothing else, you have to go just for the “bonuts”! They’re biscuit-donuts, and they’re just as amazing as they sound. After breakfast, you can walk around the trendy Gulch neighborhood – there are a bunch of fun and unique shops that are definitely worth looking in!

Lunch in Midtown

For lunch, head to Hattie B’s in Midtown! A trip to Nashville isn’t complete without some of their famous hot chicken. There is usually a line out the door, *but* if you call and order ahead, they will have your food waiting for you when you get there.

Germantown

After lunch, you have to go see the Nashville Farmer’s market in Germantown! It’s huge – and we mean HUGE. There are a lot of local produce vendors, as well as a garden/floral wing, and an entire section of local vintage and artisan crafts and goods! We like to go just to walk around – there’s no shortage of things to look at and try!

Dinner Downtown

For dinner, get a true taste of Nashville culture by going to Puckett’s downtown! It’s right off Broadway, and they always have live music. The food is traditional Southern goodness, and they have a great drink selection. If you’re looking for a slightly more formal dinner, Merchants is a great option. The interior atmosphere is amazing, and the food is great too! From there, you can walk downtown and see all of the famous honky-tonk bars and hear live music on every corner!

We hope this kicks off your Nashville trip with a view (and taste!) of the city from all around town!

Where should we go next?
