When your mom owns a bakery, you’re guaranteed custom desserts & a giant cake for your birthday, but Melody, of Sweet & Saucy Shop took it up a notch! We’re sharing her daughter’s adorable Princess themed third birthday party featuring a castle cake complete with a window treatments & a lawn! Beyond creating an awesome cake, she planned cake decorating, a game of Pretty Pretty Princess, and story time with real life Cinderella for all the attending little princesses. Could it get any cuter?! Here’s a peek at all the magic that happened:
Mom, Melody, shares – Almost every mom of a little girl encounters the phase where they are obsessed with Disney Princesses. It is beyond cute! When I asked Blake what she wanted her party theme to be she only had one request…she wanted a Princess themed party! I knew I wanted to modernize the princess party theme a little bit and really customize the desserts for each princess who was coming to the party!
Each friend of her’s dressed up as a different Disney princess and we made the desserts personalized for each them. They got their own hand painted sugar cookies with princess portraits, mini DIY cakes they would dress up with edible jewels, frosting and sprinkles and other fun desserts like ring pop cake pops, rice krispy treat princess shoes, mini cupcakes with edible jewels, tiara french macarons and more. For the cake we went with a modern, more whimsical take on the princess castle cake, which I love!
Of course Cinderella had to show up at the party for story time and a dance lesson and then we did digging for princess treasure, coloring princess pages, and they could build their own princess castle out of chocolate. Every little girl got a custom princess peg doll from Peg Buddies too.
