The Cutest Galentine’s Day Party for the Little Ones

Get ready! This adorable Galentine’s Day party for the little ones is about to tug on your heart strings.  Brittany, of Reality & Retrospect, put together the cute photoshoot for a cause close to her own heart. Her baby girl was born with a congenital heart defect and is having open heart surgery this very Valentine’s Day. Although we hope this photoshoot will bring awareness to heart defects like baby Cecila’s, we know it will also bring so much joy to everyone who sees it! And that makes it a Galentine’s to remember! Plus, it’s so darn cute!!!

Brittany shares…

Hearts have been on my mind ever since Cecelia Faye was born last September. Cece was diagnosed with a few different birth defects and has spent quite a bit of time in an out of the hospital. She has a large hole in her heart and will be having open heart surgery the day after Valentine’s at just four months old. In order to distract my worried mama mind and to help spread CHD awareness, (February is congenital heart defect awareness month) I decided to host heart themed Valentine’s mini sessions and teamed up with Perfectly Poised Events to turn this dreamy day into every little girl’s dream. Laura with Fawn Events dreamt up a magical itty bitty Galentine’s party with super girly details at every twirl. Check out the sweetest details from our incredible team.

Invitations were made into blush-colored cootie catchers filled with X’s & O’s. Pink and lilac blooms flourished from floor to ceiling, and hand painted balloons hung from tinsel tails.

The tablescape was draped with the most lush balloon garland runner, pastel florals, and of course – lots & lots of sparkly confetti. Behind the table, we hung an oversized watercolored backdrop with the lyrics to ‘Cecelia, You’re Breaking my Heart’ by Simon and Garfunkel- a surprisingly appropriate song for my little girl.

Custom sweets kept the party wild including the most beautiful mini cakes, glitter Lollipops, and sprinkled clouds of organic cotton candy. #Sugarrush. The magical hand dyed tissue backdrop almost reminds us of oversized sprinkles and was the perfect compliment to our girly shindig.

Our tiny guests were dolled up with shimmery eyes and glittery lips, floral kitty ears, heart sunnies, and the dreamiest wardrobe of sequin and tulle. This girls-only party ended with the cutest party crasher of all time. This little ladies-man showed up with flowers in hand and all. I mean – what girl can resist this cuteness!
