‘Breakfast in Bed’ First Birthday Party
What’s better than breakfast in bed? Especially when you have a one year old… This adorable Breakfast In Bed first birthday party was thrown at a chic NYC café by an even chicer mama for her sweet baby girl! A cereal bar, PJs for every guest, and a Pan-cake (just wait until you see it!) are just a few of our favorite parts. So, even though guests did have to get out of bed to attend , it was well worth the trip, and just as cozy too!

From the minute I stepped into Maman, I knew I wanted to plan an event here. It’s simply the most beautiful bakery/cafe in NYC – which made it the perfect venue to host my little one’s first birthday. As new parents, we’re up super early every morning, yet it takes forever to get out of the house… which is what other parents have echoed as well. So, we decided to make it a wee bit easier to get out the door by hosting a “breakfast in bed” party encouraging the kiddos (and guests) to come in PJs to celebrate our daughter Sienna! We served delicious breakfast food and beverages, and even had cozy beds and a bedroom-like lounge/play area set up for the little ones to enjoy. Yogurt parfaits, mini egg sandwiches, hash browns, raspberry white chocolate croissants, quiches, blueberry and vanilla tarts, avocado toasts, waffle stacks, mimosas and a coffee station to name a few of the delicious menu items…
Before my daughter was even born, my husband and I used to read “Guess How Much I Love You” when she was in the womb. It has become one of our favorite nighttime stories to read to her (and she loves to snuggle her stuffed animal bunnies)… so we incorporated bunnies and the books throughout the event and space. We had a long table set up for the adults to dine at and tray passed foods were also served so parents could eat and watch their little ones at the same time. Maman has wonderful navy patterns all throughout the venue so we highlighted that with beautiful pinks to accent – and the most stunning florals made the space super warm and brought it all to life!
Personalized PJs for the children, a pancake cake for the birthday girl and a to-go cereal bar (with bunny mix!) were just a few extra touches that made the event so special and unique!
