Cucumber Cilantro Margarita Recipe

If we polled the girls in the office on everybody’s favorite cocktail, Margarita would come out on top – time and time again! Our love of this salty and sweet sip only grows in the summertime. So when we saw Danielle Walker, one of our fave ladies and creator of Against All Grain, make this twist on the cult fave, we had to share the recipe with you all! Danielle dubbed it the ‘Spa-gartia’ for it’s refreshing and spa-water like ingredients. Cucumber and cilantro take center stage in her version. She says, ‘it’s like spa water, but spiked with tequila!’ Now we’re talking 😉

Here’s how to get her refreshing (and paleo!) Cucumber Cilantro Margarita:

Ingredients (makes 1)

3 ounces 100% agave blanco tequila
1 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
3/4 ounce pure maple syrup
1 cup ice

Instructions

Muddle the cucumber and cilantro in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Then, add the tequila, lime juice, and maple syrup. Shake well and pour into a rocks class filled with ice.

*If you don’t have a muddler, pulse the cucumber and cilantro in a food processor or blender before adding the liquid. You can also use a mortar and pestle.

*If you want a frozen margarita, simply place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

*Leaving the muddled cilantro and cucumber in your drink adds to the flavor, but, if you prefer, the beverage can be poured through a strainer into the glass with ice.
