NO. 01

How would you describe your design style?

My style has evolved over the years so I have a constant transitioning of design in my home. I am always drawn to graphics, patterns and colors. I’m loving the more modern and minimalist look but that is really hard for me to always do. I love modern (mid century and Scandi) mixed with some vintage and add a splash of color with touches of boho. At least for right now;)

What was most important to you when designing the space?

This is the first space you see when walking into my house so it was important to make it warm and welcoming but utilize it for my family’s needs.

NO. 03

Did you decorate all at once or has it been an ongoing process?

Definitely an ongoing process.  Besides the budget factor my style is constantly changing and updates are always happening.  Plus I get bored of my decor and need to change it around just for a new look.

NO. 04

Your couch is amazing! What's the story behind it?

My couch is kind of a funny story. I purchased it for $75 at a thrift store to use as an outdoor seating area at my daughter’s wedding reception that was held in our backyard. I bought it in pretty much perfect condition and the only thing I did to update it was staple gun the skirt up under it and add new legs.  I had every intention of getting rid of it after her wedding but somehow it has become a focal point in my living room.

Where are your favorite spots to source decor & furniture?

I’m a pretty cheap shopper. Not always by choice for sure but I definitely like a good deal. My house is a combination of Home Goods, thrift stores, Target, West Elm, ikea, World Market and a few splurges.

Biggest Splurge? Biggest Save?

Biggest splurges are my pink rug and west elm buffet

Biggest save is my sofa, the black and white world market rug and my thrift store coffee table.
