Incorporating sentimental details into my wedding is very important to me. I want the day to feel like it really belongs to my fiance and I, down to the smallest detail. My father grew up in Lebanon where he and his family always had lots of herb gardens and fruit trees, he and my mother wanted us kids to also get to experience fresh yummyness and a bit of my dad’s past, so we too always had fresh herbs growing and trees in the yard. We will be incorporating herbs in wedding decor for our big day. I think that herbs can be such a poignantly beautiful yet unpretentious addition to decor. Their textures and colors seem a bit more rustic and wild than other flora and the smells can transport you. For me, mint especially reminds me of my youth and my heritage as it is used in so many of the dishes I grew up eating. I am so excited that we will get to use herbs on our special day.
I love the idea of herbs in weddings, I think some of them are even better than flowers
I love the photography, the photos are soo soft and romantic! I like how lots of different coordinating colors were used too!
Hooray! I didn’t know you were planning on using herbs..I love that! I can just SMELL that Rosemary wrapped around that gorgeous bouqet and I HAVE to go to that lavender farm…amazing.
Thanks for the inspiration!! These weddings are just gorgeous!
Such a wonderful and creative idea! I’m with you, I looooove the aroma of fresh herbs 🙂
Love it! One of my favorite events I ever did was for about 40 people–everyone at a long white-clothed table with damask napkins and fresh HERBS and candles as centerpieces. It was just lovely and I can’t wait for the right bride to use it again 🙂
Thanks!! great post.
What a sweet and fragrant idea! xoxoxo….anne&bill
