5 Ways to Forgo Tradition at Your Wedding

Traditional vs. non-traditional is the modern debate in weddings. We think it’s most important to make sure, no matter which route you take, that your day is representative of you and your soon-to-be spouse. If you are not erring on the side tradition, here are a few ways to forgo tradition at your wedding. We hope they inspire you do let your creativity & personality shine!

1. A Colored Dress

You don’t have to wear white! We have seen every color wedding dress possible from black to blue. And guess what? The bride always looks beautiful! We personally love bold red, or powder blue. Our all time favorite? Gold!

3. Unconventional Flowers

Fruits & vegetables, such as artichokes, can totally hold their own in a centerpiece! We also love the idea of using bud vases if you are looking for a more cost-friendly option.

4. Food

You don’t have to serve a plated dinner at your wedding! Or a traditional wedding cake. Pick food that you and your fiancé love like hot dogs and donuts! Trust us, your guests will love you for it!

The most untraditional thing you could do? Elope! Get away with your fiancé and say “I Do” just you two.
