What better way to celebrate your first anniversary than to return to the place where you wed?! This couple had the bright idea to have a one year anniversary photoshoot at a vineyard – the exact vineyard where they said ‘I Do’. How romantic is that?! They set up an intimate picnic, popped champagne, and dug into the top tier of their wedding cake, as tradition would encourage. It’s the sweetest thing! We hope it will inspire you to celebrate your anniversary in a momentous way!
From the bride…
With our wedding anniversary approaching, Jake and I decided to celebrate by heading back to the place we said “I do” exactly one year ago. We wanted the shoot to embody our favorite moments from our wedding day and for us, that meant an intimate, relaxed, and fun filled day sipping champagne through the vineyards of Los Olivos.
For design inspiration I wanted to exude a sense of warmth to compliment the golden light we both remembered so vividly during our vows. Since we started our marriage under the giant oak tree at Firestone Winery, it only felt fitting to celebrate with a small picnic beneath one. We opted for copper undertones and bright berry floral in order to bring a sense of romance to a casual yet elegant setting. The geometric chasers and water colored plates added the perfect pop of fun to an otherwise simplistic tablescape. The day ended with a stunning Californian sunset, champagne showers and an exchanging of love letters we had promised each other for every anniversary the night of our wedding.
