Inspired by a Nancy Meyers-meets-LoveShackFancy aesthetic, the celebration unfolded as a romantic seaside gathering filled with soft pastels, layered textures, and playful personal details. From a sailcloth tent ceremony overlooking the water to an unforgettable reception and tropical escape after-party, every moment felt effortlessly elevated and full of joy, just like Natalie and Nick!
The Bride
Natalie wore an unreleased Mark Ingram gown designed with a timeless strapless silhouette and sculpted bodice detailing, and a softly gathered skirt. In a full-circle moment, she was surprised to meet the designer himself at his atelier, where he personally handed her the dress.
Later in the evening, she changed into a vintage 1990s Bob Mackie look for her limoncello-cart reveal, bringing a touch of high-glam nostalgia to the dance floor.
The Bridesmaids
Natalie’s bridesmaids embodied the “mix-and-match garden party” vision, wearing a palette of soft pastels and floral prints in blush, sage, and seafoam. Each carried woven baskets filled with delicate blooms, adding to the romantic, organic feel.
The First Look
Spending quality time together ahead of the big day, Natalie and Nick shared an intimate moment to focus on each other and reflect on the journey that brought them here. The Ceremony
Under a sailcloth tent overlooking the water, floral arrangements of blush roses, hydrangeas, garden greenery, and trailing vines softened every part of the space. The ceremony florals also lined the grassy aisle in organic clusters, creating a serene entrance as Natalie walked down the aisle. Despite the rain, it was a magical ceremony, with the weather only adding to the romantic, intimate atmosphere.
The Details
The design, planned and executed by Lia Bancroft Events, was inspired by a Nancy Meyers 90s rom-com aesthetic (hello Father of the Bride!) mixed with LoveShackFancy charm (hello signature pink bow!). The reception was intentionally designed to feel like an intimate dinner party at a seaside home, with a mix-and-match approach featuring alternating pastel and neutral linens, mixed chine, and varied centerpiece designs at each table.
Thoughtful, sentimental details included custom tennis ball favors as a nod to their pups, decks of cards with a hand-painted Cape Cod map in memory of the bride’s late grandfather, and handwritten notes placed at each seat. The five-tier buttercream cake echoed the bride’s gown, adorned with delicate detailing, soft green vine accents, and a pair of swans on top, blending vintage romance with playful charm.
The Reception
Carrying on with the magic of the day into the reception, the bride and groom celebrated surrounded by their closest family and friends, indulging in delicious meals, hearing the heartfelt words from those they love most, and dancing the night away.
Adding a surprise-and-delight moment later on in the night, a limoncello cart rolled out by the bride and groom introduced her second look, a vintage 1990s Bob Mackie, creating an interactive “WOW” moment. Shortly after dinner, the band played a short ABBA set, cueing the distribution of custom stamped tambourines for exciting touch to the night!
