Modern & Natural Wedding Inspiration in the Desert

The simple elegance of this modern and natural wedding inspiration leaps off the page! We were immediately swept away by the soft natural wedding colors, like eucalyptus green and petal pink, the chic style, exhibited in the bride’s high ponytail and swiss dot dress, and the wild-like floral arrangements. And we are more than sure you will be too! Take your time admiring the smallest of details that make this desert wedding inspiration truly shine, and the stunning images Sierra Ashleigh Photography captured of them.

Sierra shares, Our goal for this shoot was to blend modern design with natural and earthy elements. Inspiration came from the landscape and colors of the venue’s high desert location. Several features immediately stood out to us: rough stone walls, acres of sagebrush, and the wooden trestle bridge.

We chose the gown from Frankie and Maude for its seemingly simple design with captivating details. The design is so flattering on, with its high waist and low cut neckline. The long ties of the halter top were our favorite feature! We knew a bride who wore this gown would also wear a high pony. Glamorous and playful at the same time, just like the gown.

The floral elements kept with the natural theme, especially on the table design. The concept was to show the flowers as if they were growing there, like in a flower bed. The flowers blend together like they do when they grow, some at different heights than others. The colors were soft and pale, like the desert landscape. The cake, by Tallant House, followed in suit. Featuring a plethora of flowers and berries mixed together as in nature, it was truly spectacular. We chose to keep the color palette neutral, to really showcase texture and features of each flower.

Other elements from the table include a tone-on-tone embroidered linen from La Tavola. This may be a new favorite of ours! It mimics the intricate details of the florals and geometric designs found in nature. Place settings were kept natural with ceramic plates and linen napkins. Clean and simple designs let the natural beauty of the setting really shine.
