From Amy & Jordan:

They stood up at their reception. Together. Behind a sweetheart table draped with lace linens and succulent flowers. He took the microphone from his best friend, who’d just given a testament to his character as a man. His bride, his new wife, was at his side. The intricate detailing in her white dress came alive when the light illuminated it. We can’t say the same about her smile, because things that are always shining don’t need extra illumination. They provide all the brightness a room needs. He looked to his family on the left, and her family on the right. A hundred hearts hung on words he hadn’t even yet spoken. A hundred pairs of eyes welled up while they watched and waited. Then, he started. With thanks. With gratitude. For each and every one of them. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. But what caught us and caused our eyes to join the parade was this: he recognized the wait staff. The men and women who bring bread, refill waters, and clear plates. The ones who, night after night, weekend after weekend, serve. With their whole heart. With class. And with grace. To make each couple’s wedding as special as the next. They’re intentionally invisible. That’s why they’re the best. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do our best to be be intentional about making them visible. Which is exactly what he did. By giving them the same, sincere thank you he gave everyone else that night.

With such a simple sentiment, yet such a powerful one, he confirmed everything about their character as a couple that we already knew and revealed a timeless truth that we all need to know: out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. Or, in other words, beauty doesn’t start on the outside and work its way in. It starts on the inside and works it way out. Mai and PJ, where do we even begin? From the moment we met you for the first time, your infectious laughter and contagious joyfulness grabbed us… and never let go. Then, we went to The Grand Canyon together. And you brought that laughter and joyfulness, but this time dressed up in a tule skirt and red soles. And. It. Was. Epic. The hikers and tourists stopped and stared at you two longer than they did the real Wonder of the World. And then came your wedding. We didn’t think it could be better, but it was. It has been. Every time we’ve been with you. That, friends, says everything someone needs to know about who you are. We love you both to the Grand Canyon. And back.
