01. Unplug

If you want a weekend to escape, consider turning off your phone for the weekend. Say goodbye to all the social media notifications and extra time scrolling. This will allow you to relax and get your mind off everything else happening. With all the hard work you’ve been doing, it’s time you take a second to breathe, even if it’s by staying home and off of your phone!

02. Spa Day

Everyone loves a spa day, but the price of one isn’t always in the cards. If a relaxing day is on your to-do list, then a staycation spa day is necessary. All you need to do is think of your favorite spa treatments and do it DIY style. For instance, an Epsom salt bath, face masks, at-home manicures, and facials are great and easy ways to have the most fabulous spa day.

03. Take a Day Trip to Neighboring Cities

Are you wanting a staycation but are scared of going stir crazy? A trip to a neighboring city might be the perfect option for you then! If you haven’t had the time to explore your surrounding cities, then take a day to investigate. You can start your adventure by searching the best areas to eat, shop, get coffee, and hang out. You never know what you might find!

04. Plan a Stargazing Night

This one goes out to our hopeless romantics, or maybe those who enjoy observing nature. Enjoy a night of the escape, and take a trip to see the stars. Whether in the comfort of your backyard, on the beach, or on a scenic lookout in your area — you can’t go wrong with that fantastic view.

05. Have a Picnic

A perfect way to spend a staycation day is with a picnic. All you need to do is grab your gals, some food, rosé, and hope for a fabulous sunset. Especially with summer quickly approaching, a sunny picnic is ideal for spending the day.

Staycations are underrated, especially now; we’re already used to staying home. If you’re looking to have all the perks of vacation without the actual trip, our editor’s staycation bucket list will prepare you for a weekend of bliss!
