I have been lucky to visit a lot of properties over the years, and it takes something special for me to come home and want to tell everyone about it. Marquis Los Cabos did exactly that.
I took my Inspired By This editorial team with me for four days and three nights in early August. Three of us shared one room, and honestly that made it even more fun. Marquis is an adults only, all-inclusive resort on the Sea of Cortez, tucked between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, and it is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Vistas for Days
Every suite at Marquis Los Cabos faces the ocean, and you feel it everywhere you go. The pools sit right above the water, and the resort has two beachfront infinity pools, so you can lounge with a drink and watch the Sea of Cortez all day. Morning coffee, sunset, or the walk to dinner, we kept stopping to take it in.
Puro Sol
We went in early August and we scored with mostly perfect weather. It was hot, but if you are someone who loves a tan, this is your place during this time.
Adults Only and Muy Tranquilo
As a mom, getting a break from the kids and being surrounded by all adults was such a gift. The whole property feels calm, peaceful, and relaxing. We met people celebrating all kinds of milestones, from 40th birthdays and college reunions to babymoons and anniversary trips. It is a resort that makes celebrating easy, and everyone we met was in a great mood.
Servicio de Primera
Marquis Los Cabos is known for its service, and I can see why. The team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and that warmth never let up. Nothing felt like too much to ask.
Spa Day, Sí Por Favor
I have to talk about the spa, because I got a massage there and it was amazing. Spa Marquis is a full experience, not just a massage room. It is a big space, about 13,000 square feet, with ocean views, a hydrotherapy circuit, and a full menu of treatments like massages, facials, and body wraps. When you book a service, you also get to use the spa facilities, which include a relaxing lounge, a cool pool overlooking the water, hot tubs, and a steam room. If you want to add a little pampering to your trip, do not skip it.
Salud and Buen Provecho
The food was so good, and the drinks were great. Our favorite by far was Sakke, the Asian restaurant with teppanyaki tables where the chef cooks right in front of you. The show is half the fun, and the meal is one we are still talking about. Sakke also has a sushi bar, and the resort has other dining options, including French at Canto del Mar, fresh seafood at Dos Mares, and a poolside spot for something more casual. You will not get bored.
Noches de Fiesta
There is always something happening in the evenings. Live music and shows run every night, so after dinner you can grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy the entertainment without ever leaving the property.
Nos Sentimos Seguros
I always want to mention this when I travel with my team. We felt very safe the whole time, which made it so easy to relax.
Ojo con el Mar
In this part of Los Cabos, you cannot swim in the ocean, and that was completely fine with us. The pools overlook the water, so we still had the views, and we spent our time walking the beach and collecting shells.
¡Vámonos! A Day on the Water
One of my favorite parts of the trip was getting out on the water. The property set us up with another company, and we hopped on a boat with a group to go snorkeling. Getting there and back was so easy. We were picked up, taken out, and brought right back to the marina without any hassle. All we had to do was show up and enjoy it.
Arte por Todos Lados
One more thing worth noting is that the resort displays a collection of Latin American paintings and sculptures throughout the property, so even a simple stroll feels like a little gallery visit.
Hasta Pronto, Cabo
If you want an adults-only escape with ocean views from every suite, great service, wonderful food, nightly entertainment, and sunshine that does not quit, Marquis Los Cabos belongs on your list. I would go back in a heartbeat, and so would my team.
