Your Ultimate Bachelorette Destination at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa in Puerto Morelos

We recently grabbed our passports and headed to Riviera Maya, Mexico, for the ultimate bachelorette getaway at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa and it quickly became clear that this property is the perfect place to celebrate with your girls.

Between the exclusivity of the Clubs & Villas section with spacious two-story Villas, incredible dining, and next-level spa experiences, the resort makes it easy to celebrate in style. If you’re planning a girls’ trip or bachelorette celebration, keep reading to see why Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa deserves a spot at the top of your list.

Getting There

One of the best parts of choosing Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa as a bachelorette destination is how easy it is to reach.

The property is located in the charming seaside town of Puerto Morelos, just 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport, making arrival seamless after a travel day. Private transportation brought us directly from the airport to the resort, which meant our vacation started almost immediately after landing.

Checking In

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt effortless. Instead of waiting in a lobby line, we were escorted directly to our villa where champagne was already waiting for us. The entire check-in process happened right inside our room, making the arrival feel personal and relaxed.

Guests staying in the Dreams Sapphire Clubs & Villas receive added perks that make the trip even better: access to the adult-only Sky Rooftop, the Gohan Sushi Bar, the infinity pool and access to other Preferred Club amenities throughout the resort.

The Villa

We’ll be honest, the accommodations were easily one of the highlights of the entire trip.

We stayed in a Club Two-Story Villa that was perfect for a group getaway. The layout included a master bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with two double beds, and three full bathrooms with double vanities and premium amenities. There was also a spacious living room with a sofa bed, dining area, and kitchenette. Outside, the villa featured our own private heated pool, terrace, and outdoor lounge space.

For a bachelorette trip, having enough space makes a huge difference. We each had our own beds and bathrooms, which made the trip feel luxurious and comfortable. The villas are tucked away in a secluded area of the resort, creating a peaceful atmosphere that felt like our own little retreat within the property.

The Pools

Dreams Sapphire Resort offers five distinct pool experiences, each with its own vibe. The main pool is massive, and we mean massive. It’s lively, social, and filled with energy throughout the day. The Preferred Club adults-only pool offers a quieter escape. It’s perfect if you want to relax with a book, take an afternoon nap, or simply soak in the sun without the party atmosphere.

Then there’s the adults-only Sky Rooftop pool, exclusively available to guests staying in the Club & Villas category, which quickly became our favorite. With Bali beds, floating daybeds, and incredibly comfortable loungers, this pool feels like a private rooftop oasis. We spent entire afternoons here, and yes, we really did stay from open to close.

Each pool also features a swim-up bar, which meant endless skinny margaritas and Diet Cokes with lime (our personal essentials). The bartenders and servers were incredible and somehow always knew exactly when it was time for another drink.

The Food

One thing we quickly learned at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa is that you will never go hungry. The resort offers an impressive variety of restaurants, including Mexican, French, Italian, Asian, a grill and more.

We started every morning at the breakfast buffet, which had everything you could imagine. Preferred Club guests are also escorted to a private dining area at El Patio, a quiet and secluded space that makes breakfast feel relaxed and special. Guests can enjoy the full buffet or order from an à la carte menu prepared by the resort’s chefs.

After breakfast, we always made a stop at Coco Cafe and Revive Bar to grab drinks before heading to the pool. For lunch, we quickly found our favorite spot: Gohan, the sushi restaurant located at the Sky Rooftop pool. Our go-to order? Nachos to start, sushi for the main course, and a skinny margarita on the side. Between the views and the laid-back atmosphere, it became our daily tradition.

Dinner options were just as impressive. On our first night, we dined at Portofino, the resort’s Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed wine and pasta to kick off the trip.

The second night we tried Bluewater Grill, the steakhouse on site. And for our final evening we dined at Himitsu, the Aisan teppanyaki restaurant. For an extra special experience, we reserved the private room, which made the dinner feel intimate for our group. Between the variety of restaurants and the quality of the food, every meal felt like a highlight of the trip.

The Spa

Every bachelorette trip has at least one non-negotiable, ours was massages. We’ve seen plenty of resort spas, and the Dreams Spa delivered one of the best spa experiences we’ve had. Our treatment began with a guided hydrotherapy circuit, which included a sauna, steam room, cold tub, hot tub and a peaceful relaxation area. It was an entire hour dedicated to unwinding before our massages even began.

By the time we finished our treatments, we were completely in zen mode. The spa itself is designed as an indoor-outdoor sanctuary, spanning over 1,937 sq. ft. and surrounded by tropical views. The combination of ocean sounds, lush greenery, and calming spaces made it the perfect place to reset and recharge.

The Entertainment

As tempting as it was to spend the entire trip by the pool, there were plenty of activities that brought our group together. We started mornings with walks around the property and even booked a private rooftop yoga class, which was the perfect way to start the day with a little wellness.

In the evenings, the resort offers a full lineup of entertainment. During our stay we watched a water show, a fire performance, and ended our final night dancing to Latin music in the lobby. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and fun, exactly what you want from a bachelorette getaway.
