Sustainable & Earthy Bridal Shower

Happy Earth Day! This sustainable and earthy bridal shower is the perfect way to celebrate! The talented team of shows that when creating a beautiful event, sustainability is achievable. And beautiful it is! The backdrop of plants and runner of greenery contribute to the theme, as does the flower crown bar and the blood orange rosemary cocktail (yum!). Read on for the team’s take on the fabulous day.

The team shares…

Using sustainable practices, this Earth Day party and shower inspiration features a beautifully detailed “upscale flower child” tablescape and DIY flower crown station. The DIY flower crown station is a fun party activity, and guests can dry their flower crowns to use again. Complete with foraged and dried flowers, vegan charcuterie boards, cookie place cards, and hand lettered plates, each of the vendors sought to implement a sustainable approach to their contribution.

Floral designer Hannah of Hudson Botanica began the day by foraging for many of the flowers in her backyard in order to create the beautiful table runner. Given that meat production is a significant contributor to global warming, Chef Arden of Purslane Catering created a stunning – and delicious – vegan charcuterie spread atop local woodworker Allison of Two Tree Studio’s handcrafted wooden boards. Linen rental company Bayith donates 10% of its profits to water conservation, and we limited paper waste (while upping the wow factor) by using cookie place cards from Cookies for a Cause. The hand lettering details from Starrey Eyed Paper Co. completed the scene with beautifully lettered and illustrated plates, signage, and paper goods.

Set within Elwood Studio’s plant-filled Garden Room and captured by Kayla Tiffany Photo, Justine of Together Events’ vision for an Earth Day party came to life with the collaboration of a team of incredible New York vendors.
