Fall brings with it rich colors and changing leaves. This wedding features both! The vintage fall wedding inspiration is the epitome of the season! Set in Alabama, it also has that Southern charm and country feel. Below, you’ll see the bride wearing a gorgeous vintage gown that’s simple yet elegant with tiers of lace, accented by an awesome flower crown. The deep red rose right in the middle matches her dark lip color perfectly! Decor and props such as leather luggage, a beat-up truck and guitar carry on the vintage theme. However, there’s plenty for the modern bride to enjoy as well! Pan the pretty photos and read on for designer, Heather Benge’s, inspiration. It just so happens to be one of our favorite movies – Forest Gump.
Heather shares, Being in Alabama in the Fall when the leaves are changing is one of the most beautiful sights in the South. We decided to use this to our advantage and create our take on a “Forrest Gump” inspired styled shoot. Our goal was to show off how you can take anything for inspiration and make it into a beautiful, personal wedding.
The bride wore a long, flowy dress with an over-sized floral crown just like Jenny in the movie. The menu was full of shrimp options and of course, the drink of choice was Dr. Pepper. We had a chocolate dessert station, because we all know “life is like a box of chocolate’s”. Every design was carefully thought out from the use of a guitar, the feathers, and the church pew in the field (we know, we love it too!). From the magnolia leaves to the beautiful venue to the adorable puppy, we think this shoot is the perfect mix of elegance and fun. And it just makes my Southern heart happy!
