Traditional Palm Springs Wedding at The Avalon

It doesn’t get much more romantic than this. The Palm Springs wedding on our wedding blog today was an intimate affair in the courtyard of The Avalon hotel. Guests watched the bride & groom say “I Do” under a sea of palm trees, dined in candle light, and danced well into the night. It was all about the love at this traditional wedding and it couldn’t be more beautiful!

The photographer, Hailley Howard, shares, Alanna and Sammy were to me, the perfect pair to shoot. As the only outsider to intimately hang out with them all day long I can tell you that it honestly felt like magic. I try my best to treat all weddings equally but not every bride and groom are as easy or as happy or as awesome as these two… and their friends, and their families. I hadn’t met the couple before their wedding, which is pretty standard for me as I do shoot a lot of destination weddings, so when I arrived I wasn’t sure what to expect. As soon as I met Alanna I felt like we were friends. And after spending about an hour with her I finally met Sammy and he greeted me with a big smile and huge hug. The day went off without a hitch. After I was finished shooting I stuck around with them, dancing and hanging out with them and their friends who quickly felt like my friends. Can every wedding be just like theirs?!
