With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, this shoot is the perfect thing to get us in the spirit. With a deep berry and petal pink color palette, as well as an ultra romantic location, it’s ideal inspiration right before the holiday all about love. Plexiglass and crystal details mix with soft, elegant roses and ribbon and the juxtaposition creates something truly inspiring for the modern bride.
From the designer and photographer, Ashley Henry, When I first decided to do styled shoots for photographers I really wanted to wow them and give them something worth photographing. I called this shoot Berries & Wine just based off our color scheme but it evolved into something glamorous and unique. If clear is a color, then it was one of ours! We had clear invites, chandeliers, mirage chairs and a clear menu for the table. Flowers were dripping from our centerpiece along with chandeliers. Our couple’s joy was contagious and they were so sweet through the entire shoot. I went for a classic slim fitting tux because every guy needs a classy night in a bow tie and tuxedo. Our bride wore two Hayley Paige gowns and each brought a certain modern edge to the shoot but a beautiful elegance with the moment of the gown. I loved using the crystal clear elements in every detail, and the silver linen that we had from Nuage Designs was perfect, there was even a tough of some bronze in the linen. Overall the shoot was perfect and the Mansion in which we shot at was so unique and gorgeous. I loved the flowers dripping from the moss covered arbor, it was so romantic yet modern with the chandeliers that hung from it. I chose to use some silk ribbon from Silk & Willow and Adorn because both companies carry such gorgeous ribbon. The crimson red wine and the light pink poppy were exactly what we wanted with our ribbon around our gorgeous bouquet! I really just wanted this shoot to inspire brides to be classic, modern & elegant.
