Antiques Warehouse Wedding

Hilary and Arthur wanted anything but traditional for their wedding. It was fitting then, that they chose an antique warehouse that had never held a wedding before, to celebrate their big day! These two had a vision and when others questioned why they would want to hold their ceremony at the warehouse’s loading dock, they saw the beauty in it and went for it! Working with the amazing GATHER Events on the design plan what resulted was the most unique and magical wedding that incorporated their strong ties with family and friends, interesting spaces and incredible memories for guests. Despite the expansive 10,000 square foot warehouse space and the 220+ guests in attendance, the evening felt intimate and homey.

Eclectic vignettes of Big Daddys’ antique furniture, salvaged architectural details and collected treasures greeted guests and led them to the venue’s outdoor loading dock, which was transformed into a lush, inviting ceremony space where French bistro chairs were swagged with vibrant bay leaf. Lemon leaf garlands lined the aisle floor.  Specially sourced mercury glass, concrete, corrugated metal and glass terrarium vessels were chosen by the floral designer JL Designs to seamlessly relate to the venue’s eclectic vibe and held arrangements with tulips, anemone, pieris, hydrangea and maidenhair fern.

Be Prepared to Be Inspired…

Hilary’s brother, Michael, designed and built the metal and plexiglass chuppah structure.

Hilary, a graphic designer for Tom’s, designed the wedding invitations herself and had them printed with the help of Copper Willow Paper Studio.

Arthur, a huge foodie, painstakingly curated the menu with Animal catering. Chef/Owner John Shook himself cooked at the wedding!

A dedicated bourbon bar held the attention of Arthur and his friends all night. It was styled with “manly” vignettes including a gun rack, a class-encased baseball collection, retro boxing gloves and vintage wrestling team portraits.

The photographers snapped photos of guests with a vintage polaroid camera. The black and white photos were strung up on clothespins for guests to admire throughout the evening. Found Rentals’ eclectic heart light became the preferred photo booth backdrop.
