Travel Hotspot: The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado

Aspen anyone? This dream destination is ready for your enjoyment year round and trust us you will enjoy it. The Little Nell is the place to be as its the only resort situated at the bottom of the mountain. I headed to Colorado to see what this place was all about and had the most incredible weekend with friends eating the most delicious food and gulping in loads of fresh air and sunshine.

The first night there, I was able (barely) to take in the incredible destination as a whole atop Aspen Mountain as I made the higher than 11,000 foot climb in a gondola that I almost wish didn’t have windows. Call me a scaredy cat, fine, but I preferred when the view didn’t move and I could enjoy it from the stunning Aspen Mountain Club. Guys, its picturesque. The “wedding deck” is literally the most perfect ceremony location (Why didn’t I get married here?!) and the club can fit up to 300 awe-struck guests. Spoiled with a 5 course meal that left my tastebuds the happiest they have ever been on a Strawberry Rhubarb + Limoncello Trifle final note, I’m pretty sure I smiled while I slept.

The rooms are designed to a T in some impeccable modern mountain style – did I mention the heated floors? because even in the summertime those things took my toesies to heaven. Pick the least costly room or the grandest suite and you’ll be living in luxury. If there’s a royal family of mountain manors, The Little Nell is the Queen. Add three special restaurants (should I remind you about the Strawberry Rhubarb + Limoncello Trifle?) and a pop-up champagne bar to the amenities list and I’m literally singing the hotel’s praises. What’s The Little Nell’s smoking gun? It’s 29 year old sommelier, Colton McCoy, who not only graces guests while dining, but also in the hotel’s 20,000 bottle cellar for a taste or especially for a wedding.

With plenty of space and insurmountable views The Little Nell is a sure winner for a wedding space, or any special event, or the best mountain vacay ever. EVER.
