One of our favorite things about changing seasons is coming up with fresh ways to entertain. Fall brings with it rich color and cozy texture, which we welcome gladly. We were excited to host a trunk show around these seasonal ideas and for a company we know and love! Insert Noonday Collection. Noonday Collection not only offers beautiful jewelry, handbags, and accessories, but also those pieces are handmade by artisans around the world. Furthermore, the company enables Artisan Businesses to create dignified jobs in vulnerable communities. How cool is that? After hosting a trunk show of our own, we came up with some ideas to help you do the same!
Here are our 5 tips for hosting a trunk show that all your friends will want to come to.
1. Make it Intimate
Although we love a big party, the ideal trunk show is slightly more intimate. This way, guests can truly see everything available to them without the pressure of crowds. Intimacy also pertains to the location of your trunk show. Hosting it out of your own home instantly makes a trunk show more warm and welcoming.
2. Model the Jewelry
Accessories, even more than other fashion pieces, are more desirable once they are seen on someone else! We love seeing how people wear and style their pieces. And then, we (and everyone else) are more likely to notice them. So show off the jewelry by wearing – and have your guests wearing – the collection.
3. Put it on Display
In addition to wearing the jewelry, you should put it on display! This may sound like a given, but setting up an area where the jewelry can be displayed nicely is key. Also, allow your guests time to get a good look at all of the pieces, to try them on, and to purchase them of course!
4. Wine and Dine
The benefit of an intimate jewelry party is that you can sit everyone down around a table to enjoy a meal together. This allows you to create a social setting where everyone can catch up, get to know new women, and discuss the jewelry. Also, who doesn’t love wining and dining together?
5. Most Importantly, Make it Mean Something
Finally, we are more likely to purchase something if we know our purchase is making a difference. This is why we are so eager to support companies that give back, and Noonday Collection specifically! When people purchase this jewelry at trunk shows, they’re supporting artisans and their communities in vulnerable areas across 12 different countries.
