3 Ways to Style an Entryway with E. Interiors

Hello and happy Thursday! We are Megan and Dawn from E. Interiors, a mother/daughter design team, and we are THRILLED to be guest posting today — we are huge fans of Inspired by This and all the inspiration we receive here! We have been following along for years.

E. Interiors is a full-service design team as we take on custom home renovations and new build projects, e-design clients as well as room makeovers, we do it all and love what we do. We run a lifestyle blog as well as a brand new shop, Shoppe E. We also just recently launched an online design platform for people who need our design expertise at the fraction of the cost. We’d love for you to come say hi!

Today we are excited to show you how you can freshen up your space while sharing home decor inspiration in a few of our favorite styles. We took one space, an entry way, and styled it three different ways, showing you how you can get the look.

Our first look is bohemian or “boho” and is super popular right now. This on-trend style consists of varied textures and is more an eclectic look. We styled this space for those who may have a smaller entry way but want something inviting. This chair and side table make a killer combo and the art and pillow add a pop of color. Right now the Nate Berkus line at Target and Urban Outfitters are some of our favorite places to source items for the boho vibe. Consider mixing elements – think outside the box with global textiles and colors.

Our second look is modern (but with some transitional elements). Our version of modern consists of neutral furniture pieces with straighter lines and lots of white. This West Elm buffet is one of our favorites. This space was styled for those who have a larger entry space that can take the size of a furniture piece. To achieve this look, we love to mix wooden elements with metals while adding color through accessories and art. Layer your items and add some softness through some greenery. We love succulents and this cute one from Target does the trick!

Our final look is midcentury, which is a style several of our clients love right now. It’s warm and inviting while still erring on the modern side. West Elm is our go-to spot when we are looking for the midcentury style. Start with your big elements and keep them simple and neutral with wood tones and leathers. Then bring in your saturated colors with your textiles. This is a minimalistic look, so remember that fewer bigger things are better than a lot of small things. This space was styled for those who can fit a bench size vignette in their entry. Have fun with it – and we love a good house plant to bring the outside in.
