Celine Mactaggart is a writer, entrepreneur, and founder of 24 East, a lifestyle blog – and we get to tour her savvy space, where the magic happens, you could say, on our business blog today! By the looks of her cute office, she’s got a knack for office accessories, but it’s her studded leather chair that has us envying her decor! We’re inspired by the content she shares and now by where she creates it. Read on for her inspiration.
Celine says, The inspiration for this room was to create a warm, elegant yet simple feel. It was important for me that items be practical, somewhat timeless, and integrate nicely with the neutral tones of the linen curtains and Revere Pewter (Benjamin Moore) walls. I wanted a wood desk because I loved the warmth in tone and feel, glass or stone desktops can feel cold. To balance out the space, I added accessories from other elements to complement the wood desk: a simple vase of white roses (earth + water), the agate coaster (earth), the open and airy feel of the acrylic tray (air), and the bronze lamp with brass accents (metal). I fell in love with the hand blown gold glass knot from One King’s Lane the second I saw it! It was an added bonus that it came in a pack of three(!) knots, so I kept one and gave one to my sister and the other to my mom. It makes me happy every time I see it at her house, even though she calls it a snake!
