Veronica Pincoski with New and Nostalgic shares a behind the scenes look at this wildflower inspired bridal shower,

Brittany met Ryan during a fierce college kickball game at UC Irvine – one which left Ryan with a gnarly black eye and a bruised ego. Brittany being a pre-med student, helped Ryan clean his wounds and unknowingly walked away with a future hubby.

After graduation and a couple of years apart, the two were serendipitously in Amsterdam at the same time and reconnected over fine wine & dutch cuisine. Knowing Britt’s love for the outdoors, Ryan proposed in a field teaming with poppies during the California Super Bloom of 2019. Growing up Brittany’s mom lovingly referred to her as her wildflower and the poem “Hearts Like Wildflowers” held a special place in their hearts – which made it the perfect inspiration for her bridal shower!

Britt’s shower was held at the modern Akash Winery in their hometown of Temecula, California. The bride-to-be looked footloose and fancy-free in her two piece, Luna B, lace jumpsuit and loose waves. Guests were treated to a managerie of farm-to-table cuisine and a sunny lounge with bohemian undertones welcomed guests to enjoyed mini sherbet ice cream cones provided by New + Nostalgic Rentals.

The florals curated by Oak & Amble could have been plucked from a countryside manor and featured peonies, dahlias, rudbeckia and wild lantana. Industrial farm tables handcrafted by New + Nostalgic were adorned with modern pastel china, brass cutlery and amber hued pressed goblets. The alfresco afternoon peaked with with a six layer, swoon-worthy, hand piped floral cake design by Lila Cakeshop featuring layers of lemon and coconut buttercream.

Alexes Lauren Photography captured the high spirited day in her signature fun and flirty style which she compares to a well formulated cocktail: a smooth pour of classic photojournalism + laughter filled candids. Shaken with some wild-crazy love!
