Turf to Surf Engagement Photos

Quinton & Ciera have a love story that would make anyone swoon. Our travel hungry, love obsessing hearts in particular. Read it and weep or just enjoy their fun & playful turf to surf engagement photos! They ride bikes (er one bike) and surf and kiss and cuddle, Finding Light Photography capturing them all the while.

From the bride…

Believe it or not, Quinton & I met on tinder. I was a little bit hesitant to meet a stranger for a date, but there was something charming about him. Our first date was at the bowling alley. After a few games of bowling (and three strikes in a row for me) we spent the rest of the night talking about plans for the future and how we wanted to travel the world. I remember telling him I’d go anywhere with him…. We spent the next two weeks together and as hard as it was, I dropped him off at the airport. He was going to be traveling for the next three months in Central America.

We called each other on FaceTime every chance that we got, but it just wasn’t the same as being together. He finally just told me to book a ticket and come out to see him for a couple weeks… So I did. It was my first time leaving the country and I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. Even though I’d only known him for a short period of time, it just felt right. I booked my tickets and I spent two weeks in Bocas del Toro, Panama with him.

After I left he stayed in Central America for another month and a half and I didn’t see him until he got back. It was the day of my birthday when he arrived back in the states. I spend the night out with my friends and the next day Quinton & I spent together. Things got serious. I finally became his “girlfriend” and about 1 month later I left to travel for 3 months while working on a yacht… sound familiar? It was tough being apart for so long, but we did it and we thank God everyday for giving us each other. After being gone for three months and only seeing each other twice, we spent Christmas 2014 together. We promised to never travel for long period of time again, unless we were together.

Ever since we have continued to travel and explore together. Most recently, we took a 2 month long trip to Quinton’s hometown, Durban, South Africa. Six days before we got on the plane to come back to the states he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said YES, of course. Ever since we have been planning our wedding, our life, and our future travels. We plan to go back to the first place we ever traveled to together & we couldn’t be more excited!
