Inside the New Collection from Bridal Designer Guillermo Pharis

We sat down with bridal designer Guillermo Pharis to chat through the inspiration and artistry behind his newest collection, one that blends timeless craftsmanship with modern romanticism in the most breathtaking way.

The Inspiration

“The collection was inspired by the surrealism of Claude Monet and his famous garden in Giverny, France,” he shares. “Art has always been an essential part of my creative process. I begin every collection with an inspiration board that resonates with my ideas, the starting point of a journey that leads into sketching, fabric sourcing, development, and ultimately, production and post-production.”

This season, that journey translated into the use of floral French Alençon laces, abstract jacquards, and luxurious silk blends, all thoughtfully incorporated into timeless silhouettes.

Trending

When asked how he balances classic bridal elements with modern trends, Pharis explains: “I believe that incorporating modern elements is not a bad idea—in fact, it is part of how fashion naturally evolves, and bridal fashion is no exception. The key is to stay true to my own aesthetic while blending new ideas with intention, preserving my techniques, and respecting the craftsmanship behind each gown.”

He adds, “Evolving while remaining authentic to myself is an essential part of my design process.”

For this collection, that evolution included: Basque waists, sleek A-lines with volume, structured bustiers with inner corsets, scarves, corded lace, and detachable sleeves that transform into gloves.

Signature Guillermo Pharis Bridal

When asked what defines his brand, Guillermo describes an unmistakable blend of architectural precision and romance: “Timeless constructions, clean lines, and inner corsetry are signature elements of Guillermo Pharis Bridal. I often work with elegant, refined fabrics and blend luxurious modern textiles with traditional silhouettes. Think of a French château wedding, where architectural surroundings and ornamental details beautifully complement an ivory silk-blend gown—that balance of structure, romance, and modern luxury defines my design aesthetic.”

The Favorite

While choosing a favorite gown is never easy, one design stood out when asked which piece excited him most: the Michelle Gown.

Made from silk-blend duchesse satin, the gown features a clean bustier, soft basque waist, gathered waistline, and a structured A-line skirt with a chapel train. The look is completed with a floor-length scarf and detachable sleeves with a bold 1980s-inspired point—a sophisticated blend of classic and contemporary.

Looking Deeper

“My gowns are meticulously crafted from the inside out,” says Pharis. “The inner corsets, a signature element typically found in luxury couture, provide structure, precision, and an unparalleled fit. These hidden constructions reveal themselves only upon closer look, showcasing the kind of workmanship you’d expect in a true heirloom piece.”

Each gown is created to be treasured, preserved, and passed down.

Looking Forward

As he anticipates the next chapter of bridal fashion, Pharis sees a shift toward more expressive silhouettes and rich textures.

“While I believe the basque waist will remain a strong silhouette for some time, I also see lace becoming a tremendous design element for 2026 and 2027. The era of simple boho dresses has come to an end, and we are entering a moment where brides are ready to celebrate their weddings in gowns that feel more unique, expressive, and glamorous.”
