You know we love sharing good proposals on our wedding blog! This downtown loft proposal is definitely one for the books! From her (gorgeous!) engagement ring to the sweet way he included her friends and family, you are definitely going to want to read the story behind this one! What a sneaky guy 😉
From the bride to be…
Sunday evening was one I thought I would be spending second shooting an intimate wedding with my talented friend Jessi. As we are walking into the ballroom of Taylors Mill (the largest raw space full of beautiful exposed brick and the largest windows) I realized that it was rather empty for a wedding. As we started walking through the space music started playing. At this point I was really confused. I thought we had missed the wedding and were awkwardly walking in in middle of it. But nope, as we turned the corner I saw my sweet FIANCE strumming his guitar and singing “I like to be with me, when I’m with you” by Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors. At this point it was pretty obvious I wasn’t here to photograph a wedding. I’m pretty intuitive like that. After the sweetest words that brought me to tears, Will got down on one knee and asked me a question he already knew the answer to.
The space was decorated with letters of encouragment and excitement for our future as husband and wife that he had gotten my closest friends and family to write. Such a clever way to include the ones I love. He knows me better than I know myself and I cannot wait to be his wife. And to top it off, we were welcomed at my house by our families and friends, the most delicious food, adorable cookies, and so much celebration!
