Take a Glimpse Behind the Scenes

The Event Planner & Designer, Lisa of Willow Jaymes Events shares,

Besides the pretty details of the day one of the most beautiful things about planning this wedding together, is that I have known the bride since she was 4 years old! Andie has the prettiest eclectic taste, a stylish girl with a bit of boho in her heart. The inspiration was easy to come by. Andie wanted a whimsical feel to an elegant garden party. With the venues she chose, one a sunken garden and one a historic Athens downtown hall. I wanted to be sure we gave her her dream day.

Luxe and Bloom no doubt was up for that. Chelsea has a wonderful way of taking my design board and bringing it to life. We wanted an arch in the garden that was a piece of her dream, and WOW did Chelsea deliver on that. Those florals, the pampas grass…well it was breathtaking. The Sunken Garden at The Hill, in Athens was extraordinary. A beautiful acrylic sign by Paper Daisies Stationery welcomes guests to the ceremony. Goodwin Events provided the gorgeous farmhouse benches for the guests at the ceremony. Entering the garden the gates were highlighted with mixed greenery and enchanting protea.

The last person to see Andie before she boarded the limo for the drive to the garden told me she looked like a “boho princess”. When the bus arrived at the garden, she stepped off it, I thought “there couldn’t have been a better description”. Colin brought a classic choice for himself and the groomsmen. It mixed beautifully with her bits of boho. Throughout the months of planning, Andie found that she loved mixes of earthy flowers, acrylic accents and gold mixes. How did we make all that work for her? We took each element that she loved and delicately layered it throughout her wedding day. The result was stunning.

I wanted the large wooden doors at Georgian Hall to reflect a similar feel to the ceremony arch and bring the outdoors in. With that and the wispy greenery asymmetrically running up the columns it felt like a magical place. Luxe and Bloom hung their neon sign on a gold pipe stand. Adding acrylic columns to the sides and flanked them with florals in gold vases. It was a huge hit for a photo spot! Fireworks graced the streets of Athens and Lauren Bailey Photography took the most amazing shots of Andie & Colin in the streets of their favorite little town celebrating their big day.
