Breathtaking Greek Island of Santorini Destination Wedding

This was a wedding that was bound to happen after facing many setbacks. There are no bad views when it comes to a rooftop venue, and this private destination wedding on the Greek Island of Santorini, is no exception. From the modern edge florals and design, to the blush accents with small gold details, this wedding is simply breathtaking. We can’t get over the sunset dinner on the cliff side. Needless to say, this intimate wedding overlooking the Island of Santorini, is both romantic and magical.

The planner shares,

“Since Mona Lisa and Efrain are both fans of spectacular views, the destination was the Greek Island of Santorini, which offered the breathtaking view of Caldera and the volcano.

Due to the fact that their plans changed so much, in order to celebrate their love, they decided to have a private, small wedding. The more the merrier does not apply in this situation. The guests consisted of the family and their closest friends, who were honored to be there.”

The couple’s story,

“Efrain and I met each other June 6, 2013 through a mutual friend. We began dating 6 months after getting to know each other and traveled the world together.

While we were dating, we visited many countries. The first time we visited Greece, we fell in love with the beautiful beaches, amazing culture and wonderful people. We knew that when the day came to get married, we had to have it in Greece. It was so special to have our family and friends experience Greece in a way like we had.”

The story behind the venue and the wait,

“After searching different venues for the big day, we found Cavo Ventus, and could not believe this beautiful historic private setting. Every minute spent here was as if you were living in a dream with the spectacular view. The property manager, Elena, also made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel so welcome, as if we were at home.

Our original wedding date was June 6, 2020 (pre-pandemic) in Santorini, Greece. Because of Covid, we chose to postpone for 2 more years. After waiting and seeing our dream wedding finally come to fruition in the most amazing place in the world, it was a true testament that love conquers all. That’s what made our wedding day very unique.”
