Couples everywhere are embracing the trend of guest dress codes beyond the standard cocktail, formal, semi-formal, etc. “From specific color palettes to textures to patterns, couples are effectively ‘styling’ their guests from afar in detailing guest dress codes with themes, mood boards, and more,” says Jason Jackson, President & COO of Generation Tux. “For menswear, we’re seeing tux and suit rentals beyond the wedding couple and wedding party – guests themselves are looking to dress sharper, bolder, and with an emphasis on style.”

Jessica Rodriguez Hanselman of Crossed Keys Estate agrees: “Reception trends that are all about personality: custom dance floor decals are turning party spaces into statement moments, while Aperol Spritz or Hugo Spritz towers are a refreshing, modern twist on the classic champagne tower.”

“With many top venues booked out and couples leaning into unique timelines, weekday weddings are becoming a chic, intentional choice—especially for destination affairs,” says Cortiella.

“We’re seeing a romantic shift toward secluded garden ceremonies,” says Rodriguez Hanselman. “Winding or curved aisles are replacing traditional straight paths, creating a graceful, cinematic entrance that sets the tone from the very first step.”
Kit Ruth , Wedding Director at The Perfect Petal echoes this: “Driven by the landscape, think earth elements paired with floral to really bring it all together. Whether that is fruit from the local orchard piled in coupes for dessert, seashells pulled from the sandy shores or hues driven from the desert landscape, couples are driven more than ever to reflect their surroundings and dive into the grounding nature of the design.”

“With average wedding costs now at $37,000 and luxury destination weddings starting around $1,000 per guest, couples are making strategic decisions,” says O’Connell. “Many are opting for smaller guest lists, off-peak dates, or non-traditional venues to stretch their budgets.”
She adds, “Budget transparency and value-driven planning are key themes, with couples leaning on their planners to help guide smart, stylish.”
