A Day At Summer Camp Joint Kid’s Birthday Party

It is every child’s dream to spend a day at summer camp! If actual camp isn’t accessible, why not make an entire birthday party out of it? Each detail of this event makes us feel like we stepped into real camping grounds! The arts and crafts available for the guest are the perfect additions. Even the table setting, while incredible, keeps the natural feeling of camp. With so much room, the guests could play games while experiencing all of the wonderful planning. We can’t forget about the cake! It is hard to imagine eating such a masterpiece. We’d have as much fun as the kids at an event like this!

Mama Bear & Camp Director Whitney tells us all about this day at summer camp birthday party,

Welcome to Camp Spielfogel! Before the pandemic, I had started planning my daughter’s birthday party with a camp theme in mind. She looked forward to attending her first summer of big girl camp and was jazzed. Plus, the indoor CAMP store in NYC had just started throwing birthday parties and we wanted to be one of the first to have one. Plans paused when the pandemic hit. Cue another summer, and it was time to bring this party to life – especially after a year of canceled events – and now with a one-year-old to celebrate as well!

The party quickly shifted to a joint celebration for Sienna’s 4th and Slade’s 1st, and the theme was spot on for both age groups. We moved the party outdoors to be Covid-safe in a bit of pocket park across the street from our apartment (it is NYC after all, so this tremendous green grass was a huge plus!) and finally brought this vision to life – with the help of Events By Anya, who had all of the furniture and rentals one could ever need.

The gathering consisted of an arts and crafts campsite, a guitarist playing camp tunes, a bear/scavenger hunt, and a make your own s’mores station (as well as the most fabulous snacks food board for the kiddos and branded cups to put their treats in). Since my daughter is obsessed with Frozen… I figured it couldn’t hurt to have Anna and Elsa make an “into the woods” appearance at the end which made her day!

All of the vendors were incredible to work with from start to finish, and everyone is still raving about the wonderful time they had… and they want to sign up for Camp Spielfogel next summer! Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet Sienna Isla, and Happy 1st Birthday to my handsome son Slade Hudson! You both light up my life… our lives… brighter than any campfire!

Welcome back from your day at summer camp! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Looking for even more inspiration for your child’s next birthday party? Check out this First Birthday Party For One Happy Camper!
