Getaway Spot: Hotel Milo in Santa Barbara

How nice does a quick weekend away sound in beautiful Santa Barbara?! With so much to do just steps away from the beach, and State Street (hello shopping!!) it was the perfect spot for a recent vacay! Grab your sunnies and your beach bag and be on your way! Honestly, we would drive up just for the ice cream! Take us back please!!

Formerly known as Hotel Oceana, Hotel Milo is a quaint hotel in the heart of Santa Barbara… and right across from the beach and pier! It’s designed in the old Spanish style that is so central to Santa Barbara’s identity, and it’s really the perfect getaway location.

We had the most amazing time during our stay there, and were truly given the whole Santa Barbara experience! On the first night, Les Marchands hosted a wine tasting and happy hour on the patio of the hotel, and we got to try several local wines from around the Santa Ynez Valley! Hotel Milo hosts these “Wine Notes” every other Friday, and they’re open to everyone! Next, we went to dinner at Olio Pizzeria, where we had more amazing cheese than one person should be allowed to consume.

Hotel Milo has also partnered with Lole, a Canadian lifestyle and activewear brand, and is hosting monthly beachside yoga sessions! We took part in one of the classes, and truly nothing is more relaxing than yoga on the beach! After yoga, we went on a tour of McConnell’s dairy, a family-owned ice cream factory based right in Santa Barbara! The best flavor? Salted caramel with chocolate chunks. YUM.

We had so much fun staying at Hotel Milo, and can’t wait to go back and get more of all that Santa Barbara has to offer!
