The Sweetest Start to the Weekend

The celebration started long before the “I dos”. Madison and Walker kicked things off with a wedding party pool day, complete with wiffle ball, pickleball, and hours swimming under the summer sun.

That evening, they hosted a laid-back Fourth of July rehearsal dinner, inviting a few extra friends and family to join. Everyone arrived in red, white, and blue as the grill sizzled with chicken, shrimp, and giant Tomahawk steaks. It was the perfect prelude to the all-American, love-filled weekend ahead!

The Early Morning Moments of the Big Day

The morning felt like something out of a family storybook. Madison got ready in the same upstairs room her mother-in-law had used for her wedding 30 years earlier, surrounded by her closest friends, sisters, and aunt – a heartfelt nod to her late mother, whose presence was felt in every detail of the weekend.

While Madison was pampered by her longtime hair and makeup artist, Walker kicked off the day with a little friendly competition, playing baseball and pool with his groomsmen – a lively crew of Air Force pilots, childhood friends, and family.

A Bridal Look Rooted in Tradition

Madison’s bridal style was all about timeless romance. She wore a custom Ines Di Santo Chantilly lace gown with a sweeping train and cathedral-length veil that felt fitting for the garden wedding aesthetic.

Adding even more meaning, Madison accessorized with her mom’s diamond earrings, her pearl-face Rolex, and the Morris family’s 1800s brooch tucked into her bouquet – a cherished tradition for every Morris bride.

A Family Estate Full of History

Madison and Walker said “ I do” at the Morris family estate in Bridgewater, Connecticut – a place filled with decades of love and memories. It’s where Walker’s mother grew up, where he spent countless summers with his siblings and cousins, and where every Morris family wedding has been celebrated.

The property, straight out of a Bridgerton scene, set the tone for the entire day.

A Garden Wedding Ceremony

Set in the West English Garden, Madison and Walker’s Bridgerton-inspired garden ceremony unfolded like a scene from a storybook. A live string trio set a romantic, timeless tone as the bridal party walked to the Bridgerton theme song and Madison made her entrance to Kissing You from Romeo + Juliet.

Under a floral arch of blush, cream, and periwinkle blooms, Madison’s Uncle Jim officiated the ceremony as her and Walker exchanged handwritten vows. After their first kiss, a yellow aerobatic plane swept overhead in tribute to their shared love of aviation, followed by a jubilant military saber arch, complete with the traditional “kiss toll” before they could pass.

The Main Course & Thoughtful Additions

The East English Garden reception carried the same open-air romance, with tables brimming with hydrangeas, peonies, and roses. Handwritten notes guided guests to their seats, while a live watercolor artist created keepsake portraits. Walker’s grandfather’s vintage Rolls Royce Phantom also added a charming family touch.

Guests enjoyed a choice of chicken piccata, Chilean sea bass, braised short rib, or pesto tortellini, followed by wedding cake from the beloved local bakery that’s made every Morris birthday cake for years, this time cut in true military style with saber.

An Evening of Celebration

When The Eli Cash Band kicked off, the dance floor never emptied. From Pink Pony Club to Teenage Dirtbag, the mix kept guests singing and dancing under the twinkle of garden lights.

Love and Legacy in Every Detail

For Madison, the most special moments were the quiet, heartfelt details – the tattoo of her mom’s initials and the heirloom jewelry she wore.

She and Walker envisioned a wedding rooted in legacy, love of country, and family, where they could fully savor time with their loved ones. From the first morning coffee to the last dance, and even the farewell pool party filled with all-American favorites, every moment was cherished.

Madison and Walker’s wedding was a beautiful celebration filled with love, family, and meaningful traditions that made every moment unforgettable.
