How to Keep Guests Cool at a Summer Wedding

Nothing’s worse than an uncomfortable wedding ceremony when guests are sweltering in the sunshine! You want your guests to be able to focus on the vows – and not just wait for them to be over – so it’s important to try and keep them cool in the summer heat. Here are some ideas that they will definitely thank you for!

Give them Shelter

Whether in the form of parasouls or overhead umbrellas, save your guests the sweat by sheltering them from the sun! These are great items to have at the entrance to your wedding ceremony in addition to fans and shades they can utilize while you wed.

Get Wedding Ready in Something Light

This is a great way to gift your maids! Skip the sweats or robes – these rompers will assure they stay cool and calm while prepping for the wedding.

Provide Refreshing Beverages

The best way we know how to keep guests cool? With refreshing cocktails of course! Serve us ice cold beverages during the ceremony and cocktail hour and your guests will be both cool, hydrated, and happy!

Serve up cold appetizers and treats

If your cocktail hour and reception remain outdoors, it’s important to keep the cool trend going. Make sure the appetizers you’re serving are light and refreshing! Better yet? Dish out ice cream for dessert!

  1. Best foods to serve: watermelon, and other types of melon, berries, salad, sweet peppers. All have a high concentration of water so they’re extra-hydrating!
