DIY Rustic Barn Wedding

This barn wedding emphasizes the natural beauty of both the venue and the couple for one stunning affair. Fleur de Lis Event Consulting helped Shelby and Jimmy achieve a perfect day showered in neutral colors, touches of baby’s breath and roses, and covered in rustic burlap and mason jars. With a twinkle-lit barn, an array of sweet treats, and a pair of sparkly shoes, this bride & groom and their guests were set for the evening of celebration!

Shelby and Jimmy are one of my cutest couples yet! And so sweet! This past February they tied the knot at one of the most stunning venues in the Jacksonville, FL area. The Keeler Property is a private country estate in a charming rural corner of Jacksonville. The covered bridge and lakeside red barn makes this an unforgettable wedding site. In fact, it complemented Shelby and Jimmy’s country chic wedding beautifully. She chose a color palette of whites, pinks, and tans; there was a natural element to the décor which tied everything in quite nicely. The tablescapes had an assortment of Burch vases filled with hydrangeas and glass vases filled with a few sprigs of baby’s breathe all underneath a long piece of burlap. This was a great reminder of just how simple elegance can go a long way. The ceremony was held inside the covered bridge and with the little added details like the metal lanterns in the windows, baby’s breath Mason jar pew markers and chalkboard ceremony program it made for a spectacular sight. I love this current trend of having the bridesmaids wear the same color dress but letting them choose the style that fits the best. It makes your ladies feel so much more comfortable and confident in pictures. Weddings are all about using family/friend resources and Shelby had a friend who did all her wood carvings and chalkboard signs that were scattered around. A few of the DIY touches entailed monogrammed beer glasses and wooden palette that hung pictures of the bride and groom. Congratulations Shelby and Jimmy.
